And so it goes that children will inevitably grow, evolve, and develop at a pace and rhythm that may be unique to them, with or without parental intervention....Elijah was a baby who had ALL of his baby teeth by his first birthday....ROUGH first year for mommy! So, here he is at five and half, and lost his first tooth, May 14, 2010! Despite his dentist's warning last month that teeth are going for $10 to $20 per tooth, my practical, recession-minded Tooth Fairy delivered three Susan B. Anthony's to Elijah Saturday morning. He was genuinely elated.
The journey of parenthood has these mile markers along the way that are easy to miss if you don't slow down or stop and appreciate the moment. This picture captures a moment for me that I will never forget. He is sooooo proud - as am I. Mmmmmm- I love my baby (no matter his age... he'll always be my baby!).
